RTG Medical’s Helping Hands: Bring Your Child To Work Day 2019

RTG Medical celebrated Bring Your Child to Work Day on April 25th by inviting our employee’s children in kindergarten through third grade to spend a morning at work. Twenty-seven children piled into the lunchroom for a day filled with exciting activities ranging from coloring, playing minute to win it games, reading books and making donations for the local humane societies. At RTG our family is a priority so it is important for us to host events for the whole family. Take a look at RTG’s Bring Your Child to Work 2019:

Our day began by taking a tour around the office to see where their parents work, hangout, and even workout. We took a pit stop in the gym to do morning stretches to wake our bodies up and get them ready for the day. We raced down to the conference room to start our next activity, musical masterpiece. Children raced to the beats of Disney songs trying to complete their project before the music stopped and they had to find a new seat.

After our coloring games we returned to the gym to compete against each other in minute to win it games. The first challenge was the cookie face where the children had one minute to get the cookie from their forehead into their mouth without using their hands. The second challenge was the ice cream cone drop. They had one minute to drop as many mini marshmallows into their partner’s ice cream cone. Cleaning up the mess at the end was their favorite part.

After our snack, we cooled off with a good book called Can I Be Your Dog by Troy Cummings. This must read showed the children what it is like to homeless dog that no one wanted to adopt. The children learned how they too could help a homeless animal by adopting, volunteering, and donating to their local humane society.

A mission of RTG’s giving program is to support the Nebraska Humane Society and the Dodge County Humane Society. With this mission, we reached out in ways RTG could help after the flood hit Fremont and caused many animals to be placed in the shelter. “RTG’s Helping Hands” found a way to help those animals by making toys and treats to be donated. Children made a toy rattle for the playful kitties and a tasty pumpkin, oat, and peanut butter treat for the pups.

A special thank you to our volunteers for helping make this day such a success. Stay tuned for RTG’s next family outing at Werner Park.
